How to Play

Play Frozen Mahjong online for free. Frozen Mahjong is a Winter Holiday-themed take on Mahjong Solitaire. Match identical pairs of tiles to remove them from the field. As you clear tiles, you unfreeze the tiles below and beside them. Keep freeing and clearing tiles until the stack disappears. Beat each level before the timer runs out and play through 10 stages to beat the game. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

On the welcome screen, select Play to begin.

Select Help to learn about the rules of the game.
Select High Scores to view the leaderboard.
Use the drop-down list on the bottom left corner to choose the game’s language.
Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
Game Controls

    - Controls and indicators
      - The games controls and indicators are located on the right side of the screen. From the top, they are as follows:
        Cumulative score
        Level number
        Timer
        First row, left to right:
        Music button: Turns the game’s music on and off
        Speaker button: Turns the game’s audio effects on and off
        Second row, left to right:
        Hint button
        Shuffle button
        Third row, left to right:
        Pause button
        Enlarge button: Lets you switch between windowed and full-screen modes
        Game Play
        Levels
        Levels are unlocked sequentially.
        You begin a playthrough on the first level.
        Finishing one level automatically unlocks the next one.
        Selecting Next Level on the win screen starts the next level automatically.
        The game has 10 levels.
        When reloading the game, you receive 2 options:
        You can start a new playthrough. This will erase your previous score.
        You can continue from the last level you unlocked. Your score from the last level you finished will be intact.
        Basic rules
        Select 2 identical stones to remove them from the stack.
        Only free stones can be paired.
        Free stones have no stone above them and at least one side (left or right) without an adjacent stone next to it.
        The game presents the non-free stones as frozen in ice. Each time a stone becomes free, the ice around it cracks off.
        Remove the entire stack before the level’s timer runs out.
        You start off with 1 minute and 27 seconds on the timer on the first level. Later levels have more tiles and a longer time limit.
        You fail the level if you run out of time before clearing the whole stack.
        If you want, you can end the playthrough there. This lets you save your final score on the leaderboard.

        Scoring
        Your score is cumulative. It represents the sum of all the points you earned in every level you played.
        Each pair you remove is worth 100 points.
        After finishing the level, you also receive a bonus of 30 points for every second remaining on the timer.
        You can save your score on the leaderboard through the following options:
        Finish all 10 levels.
        End your playthrough after a game over.
        Assistance
        Hints
        Select the hint button to highlight a valid pair somewhere in the stack.
        Each hint costs 200 points.
        Shuffles
        Shuffles change the arrangement of the tiles in the stack.
        Each shuffle costs 400 points.
        Target Audience
        The game is suited for players who like Mahjong Solitaire tile match games.
        The game has no adult themed content.
