How to Play

Play TMNT Laser Cave online for free. Laser Cave is an aiming & shooting game where you play as one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in a hopper car on a railroad in a cave. Hit waves of incoming Foot Clan flying drones with your high power laser before they shoot you. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

Click anywhere on the welcome screen to start the game.
The welcome screen also has a sound control button in the upper right corner.
Your web browser automatically stores your all time high score.
Game Controls
- Desktop
  - Use your mouse or the up and down arrow keys on the keyboard to control the angle of your laser.
    - The up and down arrow keys work MUCH better than the mouse for offering tight & responsive granular controls.
    - When your laser is aligned with a drone tap and hold the spacebar to fire.
      - You can shoot drones as they just enter the screen or after they have passed you and are out in front of you.
      - Release the spacebar to recharge your laser.
      - Touchscreen devices
        Touch the screen to use your finger like a mouse.
        Game Play
        Drones
        Initially drones come slowly and one at a time.
        As you progress the drones move faster, come at multiple different elevations, and can come 2 or 3 at a time.
        Firing Strategy
        Drones enter the screen from behind you, race past you, and then come back toward you & shoot you when they are directly above you.
        Your laser takes a while to charge up between each use, so it makes sense to try to time shooting one or more of the drones as they make their way into the level, then try to get any remaining drones as they come back toward you from the front of the screen.
        It is best to shoot them when they are out in front of you rather than when they are directly overhead.
        Shooting out in front gives you more time to react when a new wave of drones enters the game from the back of the screen.
        Shooting out in front gives you time to recharge & aim again if you miss.
        If the drones get directly overhead after moving to the front of the screen they will zap you.
        Aiming
        If you are great at timing using your shot you may not need to use the aim feature.
        If you use the aiming feature be sure to adjust the laser to a fairly neutral position in between waves.
        If drones are flying low you can aim your shot low.
        If drones are flying high you can aim a bit higher, but it still makes sense to try to hit them way out in front of you, as if they get overhead they will hit you.
        When you aim keep in mind it takes your shot time to recharge, so you want to slightly lead the drones.
        If you time your shots correctly and they are aimed at the correct angle you can take out 3 or 4 drones with a single laser.
        Scoring
        The score in this game is based upon how far you travel rather than how many drones you shoot.
        Dying
        You start the game with three full heart containers.
        Each time a drone zaps you from above you lose a heart container.
        Empty all 3 and it is game over.
        When you get zapped you are momentarily invincible.
        The cave periodically has some hearts laying on the tracks.
        Running over these refills an empty heart container.
        Click the restart button in the lower right corner of the game over screen to play again.
        Target Audience
        The game is suited for TMNT fans of all ages.
        The game has no adult themed content.
