  • Starting the Game
    • Select the red and silver play button on the game loading screen.
    • Select the play button on the game’s welcome screen to start the game.
      • This will bring up the level select screen.
      • Initially only the first level is unlocked.
      • Each of the 30 games must be completed sequentially.
      • You can score up to a 3-star rating on each level.
      • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress including beat levels, level star ratings, coin collection, and unlocked characters.
      • The welcome screen also has a sound control button in the upper right corner, a game developer info button at the bottom, and a survival button left of the play button.
        • The survival mode of the game is unlocked after you beat the tenth level in the regular level-based story mode.
        • Game Controls
          • Desktop
            • Tap the left or right arrow keys to shoot left or right. When you shoot you will jump or recoil in the opposite direction.
            • Touchscreen devices
              • Use the on screen buttons to shoot. The left shot button is in the lower left & the right shot button is in the lower right. When you shoot you will jump or recoil in the opposite direction.
              • Controls & indicators
                • Across the top of the level from left to right the game shows how many coins you have saved, how many lives you have left, what wave number you are on (and a status bar for how far along that wave you are), a pause button, and a sound control button.
                • If you click the pause button there is an overlay menu to go back to the level select screen, resume play, or go to the character upgrade or character change page.
                • The game has a button in it designed after the Google Play logo. If you click that it will send you to the Google Play store, but you can play through all 30 levels of this game directly on our website.
                • Game Play
                  • Game Modes
                    • Story mode – survive a series of enemy wave attacks in each of the 30 levels.
                    • Survival mode – unlocked after beating level 10 of story mode. You do not last through a set number of waves, but keep on fighting to kill as many enemy robots as you can until they finally get you.
                    • Levels
                      • This game has 30 levels.
                      • You can earn up to a 3-star rating in each level. Some enemies drop stars & you have to go near the stars to collect them.
                      • You can beat a level even with a zero star rating, provided you survive all the waves of enemy attacks.
                      • Enemies
                        • As you progress through the game more enemies enter the game. In addition to enemies which run at you from other side you get:
                          • enemies which fly & shoot lasers
                          • enemies which hop & take three hits to destroy
                          • enemies which fall from the ceiling then come toward you
                          • spikes emerging from the floors
                          • sawblades which move across the floor in either direction
                          • In most cases enemies typically come in the same order each time you play a level.
                            • The one exception is where spikes appear out of the floor can change from play to play within a level.
                            • Dying
                              • The default character dies anytime he gets hit by any obstacle, enemy, or enemy fire.
                              • After you upgrade characters you can get hit up to 2 or 3 times before it is game over.
                              • On some games when you get hit you temporarily become invincible, but that is not the case in this game. You can take two or three hits at the same time and die multiple times.
                              • This game offers unlimited continues, but you start at the beginning of the level you were on when you died.
                              • If you die in a level you do not keep the stars you collected during that play, but you do keep any coins you collected.
                              • Shop
                                • Off the start players start with Old Rick.
                                • Players can buy character upgrades in this game, with costs ranging from 15 to 75 each.
                                • It costs 320 coins to fully unlock all characters.
                                • You can select the pause button while inside a level to change your character to any of the ones you have already unlocked at any time.
                                • A detailed table highlight character costs and attributes is below.
                                • Strategy
                                  • I found the spreadshot characters are the best at hitting all enemies, particularly as some fly off the ground.
                                  • Try to jump only as needed & when you are in the air you can jump back in the opposite direction if you need in order to jump over obstacles approaching from the opposing direction.
                                  • Try to stay close to the center of the screen so you can react to enemies coming from either side.
                                  • Most enemies will provide a warning or time to react if you are close to the center of the screen.
                                    • Rockets show a warning from the sides.
                                    • Enemies dropping from the ceiling drop toward the sides and move across the screen, but provide an indicator before entering.
                                    • The spikes that appear from the floor have flashing red lights before popping out.
                                    • The only exceptions where there are no warnings are when things come from the hard edges of the screens that are not rockets, or sawblades that come out of the ground. Both of these tend to emerge from the edge of the screen then move inward and across.
                                    • Target Audience
                                      • The game is suited for players who like shooting survival games.
                                        • While this game has guns the graphics are cartoonish, there is no blood, and you shoot at robots.
                                        • The game has no adult themed content.
